Partners in Progress Sale Averages Nearly $3,200

For Immediate Release

Franklin, TX - A full house of buyers representing 17 states attended the 2nd annual Suhn Cattle Company an – Camp Cooley Ranch Partners in Progress Sale at Eureka, KS.

The support of registered and commercial cattlemen alike proved the strength of the combined forces of two of the leading genetic suppliers in the registered seedstock business with an average of $3,190 on the 215 lots.

Leading off the sale was the much talked about “BT” son, Suhn's Next Step 331R7. Mr. Robert Paredes, La Escondida RP Ranch of Milton, Florida paid $28,500 for ½ interest and full possession of this exciting young herd sire prospect.

Mr. Scott Vancil of Iron Farms purchased the second bull in the ring, Suhn's Northern Dancer 416R4. The outcross genetics of his sire, Sundance of Brinks and his dam, a full sister to last year's high sellers, Alydar and Affirmed, by Ali of Brinks, produced this young sire who brought $24,000.

Another “BT” son rounded out the three high selling Brangus bulls and was bred by Kirkham Brangus. KB BT 19R2 sold for $9,250 to Murphy Ranch, a commercial breeder from Victoria, Texas. “BT” sons were in high demand with 21 sons averaging $5,421.

Richard and Monica Trevor of Mound City, KS purchased the high selling Angus bull of the sale. They paid $7,000 to own Valley View New Design 558 who registered over an IMF reading over 8.0. Valley View Angus, Republic, MO, bred this curve bending carcass bull. Ford Rochelle of Texarkana, Texas purchase the second high selling Angus bull, Cooley N Dsn 2114 674P16 for $4,000.

Commercial breeders, M&W Cattle Company of Grenola,KS purchased Cooley Smokester 934R6 as the high selling Charolais bull for $4,200. The high selling Charolais and 2 nd High Selling Angus bulls were bred by Camp Cooley Ranch.
