Franklin, TX - A standing room only crowd gathered for the Blazing News Trails Brangus Female Sale, the first sale during the three-day event, at Camp Cooley Ranch®. Beautiful fall weather, exceptional customer service and Texas hospitality greeted over 300 buyers, who came to buy females from the Brangus breed's premier genetic supplier.

In addition to attending the sale buyers could also listen to a live simulcast on Camp Cooley's website and bids were placed over the phone.

Leading off the exceptional offering was Lot 31, Miss Brinks Geronimo 302H6, the dam of the 2005 National Junior Brangus Show Champion Female and Newt of Brinks, one of the featured bulls in tomorrow's sale. 302H6 was a sale favorite, who could be a picture model of a perfect Brangus female and was purchased for $45,000 by Chimney Rock Brangus of Concord, Arkansas and James Bell of Gentry, Arkansas.

Garnering an impressive $40,000 final bid was Miss Brinks Transformer 795H. She is sure to go down in history as one of the legendary females in the breed, 795H is the dam of Hickok, Cody, Morgan, Gunsmoke, Earp and Virgil, all crowd favorites who lead off tomorrow's sale. Mike Weathers, a new Brangus breeder from Columbus, Texas, selected 795H to lead his exciting donor program.

Daniel Fuehs, Normangee, Texas outlasted several breeders to own Miss Brinks Trooper 468H3 for $17,000. The Trooper of Brinks daughter was safe in calf to Bear Bryant of Brinks and is known as a power cow at the ranch.

Chimney Rock Brangus, owned by Mr. Bill Davis, repeated their winning streak by placing the final bid of $16,000 for Lot 11, Miss Brinks Cadence 75H. This exciting young female out of the ever popular Cadence is the dam of both Royal and McCall.
