

Ron Kramer Named VP at Camp Cooley Beef For Immediate Release

Franklin, TX - Cattle feeding veteran Ron Kramer of Leoti, KS, has joined the Camp Cooley Ranch staff as Vice President of Camp Cooley Beef.
“We're excited to have Ron join our team,” said Mark Cowan, president of Camp Cooley Ranch, Franklin, TX. “Camp Cooley Beef is a leader in innovative genetic and marketing strategies for our cattle producing customers. Ron comes to us with unique experience in finishing cattle, which is one of the cornerstones of our marketing solutions for our customers.”
Cowan said Kramer will help expand the Camp Cooley PREP program (Producer Return Enhancement Program). Through PREP, Camp Cooley Beef works with bull buyers and lessees to achieve the highest value for calves sired by Camp Cooley 's Brangus, Angus and Charolais bulls.
Kramer worked with Camp Cooley Beef to create the PREP program when he was marketing manager for Irsik and Doll Co., a cattle feeding operation headquartered at Cimarron, KS. As manager of the company's customer service and development department, Kramer was in charge of creating marketing opportunities that matched the needs of diverse customers. Irsik and Doll remains one of the preferred feeding partners for Camp Cooley Beef's PREP program.
Prior to joining Irsik and Doll, Kramer was cattle manager of Whitham Feedyard at Leoti, KS. From 1981 to 1984 he was foreman of Brooks Ranch at Hardin, MT. He worked with the ranch's purebred and commercial Hereford cattle and its summer yearling grazing program.
Kramer grew up on the family owned E 7 Ranch, a purebred Hereford operation near Minot, ND .
